Supraventricular Tachycardia, or SVT, is a sudden racing heartbeat that can start and stop unexpectedly.
Most people feel a sudden “flutter” or “thumping” in their chest. While a typical heart rate is 60–100 beats per minute, it can jump to 100–220 beats per minute during an SVT episode.
